Welcome, and thank you for being here here!

Hey y’all! My name is Sara Fudge, and I’m the recipe creator behind Cooking With Fudge. I’m so happy you stopped by!

I live in a suburb of Atlanta, Georgia with my husband and our four boys who range in ages from 5 years old all the way up to 22. Needless to say, there is never a dull moment around here! Whether I am helping with homework, shuttling kids around to sports practices or games, or planning a birthday party, we are always on the go. Given our family dynamic, I have had the opportunity to get pretty creative when it comes to preparing relatively easy, healthy, and balanced meals for a family of six while maintaining a reasonable budget amidst the ever-increasing cost of groceries these days.

I love everything there is about cooking and baking. Being in the kitchen is therapeutic for me. As a child, I loved watching cooking shows and helping my mom as she prepared meals in the kitchen. One of my favorite hobbies was “performing” my own cooking show as I made an omelet or baked cookies. I have fond memories of using a gazillion dishes because I wanted to mimic what I saw on television where each ingredient was in its own separate bowl.

I’m passionate about creating lightened up recipes with REAL INGREDIENTS. You won’t find artificial sweeteners around here. I believe that with a few simple tweaks, you can still enjoy the classic comfort foods you grew up on without having to sacrifice any taste. In fact, you may find that some of my “sweet treat” recipes aren’t lightened up at all, simply because I feel they are best enjoyed in their full glory without trying to reinvent the wheel. (For those of you who are calorie-conscious, I’ll be sure to note these recipes where applicable!)

Here at Cooking With Fudge, I hope you will find it convenient to search for recipes, view the nutritional information (including Weight Watchers® SmartPoints® for all plans!), adjust the serving sizes to suit how many people you are cooking for, and use some of my tips and tricks in your kitchen at home.
