All About These Air Fryer Fried Green Tomatoes

Fried green tomatoes are probably one of my favorite appetizers ever. Paired with the roasted red pepper aioli and goat cheese, I’m in heaven. This recipe proves that fried green tomatoes do not have to derail your nutrition plan! Simply cooking them in an air fryer eliminates the need for any oil, and thus reduces the calories by quite a bit! The best thing is that you are not sacrificing any taste by preparing them this way. They still have a delightful crunch, and no one will even know that they are a healthier option!

What If I Don’t Have An Air Fryer?

If you don’t have an air fryer, don’t fret! You can still bake these in the oven. Simply arrange them on a baking sheet (you can even put them on top of an oven safe cooling rack if you have one) and bake at 425 degrees for about 12-15 minutes, making sure to flip halfway through.

How To Make These Air Fryer Fried Green Tomatoes

Slice the tomatoes into 1/4 inch slices. Salt the tomatoes on both sides and let them sit for 10 minutes. Pat them dry with a paper towel.
