How To Make These One Pan Steak Fajitas

Making The Fajita Seasoning

In a small bowl, combine the chili powder, cumin, oregano, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.

Alternatively, you can use store-bought taco or fajita seasoning.

Fajita Seasoning

Cooking The Flank Steak

Season the flank steak with half of the fajita seasoning. In a skillet or frying pan over medium heat in some avocado oil spray, cook the flank steak to your liking. Remove from the heat and place on a plate to rest.

Cooking The Bell Peppers And Onion

Season the bell peppers and onion with the remaining half of the fajita seasoning. In the same skillet or frying pan, saute the bell peppers and onion for a few minutes until tender.

Serving

Add the cooked flank steak back into the skillet or frying pan with the bell peppers and onions. Stir well to combine and serve.

Prepping And Storage Instructions

Happily, this dish is incredibly easy to prepare ahead of time. When I want to make it earlier in the day, I’ll go ahead and season the flank steak, bell peppers, and onion and store them separately (flank steak in one container, bell peppers and onion in another container) in a ziplock bag or covered bowl in the refrigerator until I’m ready to cook. Then I just dump out what I need into my skillet or frying pan and I’m all set!

If you’re making this as a meal prep for the week ahead, you can keep it in the refrigerator for up to one week. You can reheat in the microwave or by placing in a cold oven and letting it get up to 350 degrees. This allows the steak to heat slowly and thoroughly, without getting dried out.
